I just returned from two months as a Fulbright Specialist in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. I was hosted by Ala-Too International University, and gave workshops and presentations for the administration, department heads and numerous classes. This was a kind of homecoming too, since I was a Fulbright Scholar there in 2023.

I particularly enjoyed teaching in some new contexts at Ala-Too. First, I was asked to collaborate with two psychotherapists on a seminar in Psychodrama, which was a unique and fascinating experience. Then, I also took on a graduate course in Management, focusing on Public Speaking, Coaching and Leadership skills. I'll continue teaching this course for the rest of the semester from New York.

I was also happy to return to the American University of Central Asia, where I gave a series of Master Classes for 4th year students in the Film Department and served as a consultant on their original screenplays. I had a couple of same students in 2023.

It was a fantastic two months. I love the people there, the mountains and the culture, and I’m grateful to have gotten the chance to return. I have quite a few friends and colleagues there and I'd love to go back yet again.

Meanwhile, my

co-adaptation of A CHRISTMAS CAROL will soon be playing once again at Clarence Brown Theatre in Knoxville. Jed Diamond is again playing Scrooge. The production has been very successful there over the years and Jed is legendary as Scrooge.

In January, I’ll be back in Milwaukee directing storyteller/comedian extraordinaire - John McGivern - in a new show he’s calling, A Man for All Seasons.

Then I’ll return to Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas to teach some Master Classes. A few years ago they produced my play, So You Can Look Ahead. I'll be glad to return.

That's the news for the now.
